On Friday, August 23rd – Area Restroom Solutions assisted with the HomeAid Sacramento Trap-Shoot Fundraising event. This is one of the major fundraising events of the year, and it was projected that over $85,000 was raised to support HomeAid’s work in the community. The event was held at Coon Creek in Lincoln. This event helps raise much needed funds for the local shelters such as St. John’s and the Sacramento Emergency Shelter.  Melissa, one of our Construction & Job Site Representatives was out at the event for the day. She helped to keep score along with assisting with multiple other tasks that were needed. HomeAid is the charitable, non-profit division of the North State BIA (Builders Industry Association).

One of the day’s highlights included a speech given by one of St. John’s graduates, named Michelle. Her inspirational story brought to light the wonderful opportunities that she was provided through the shelter’s programs. She spoke of all the many new life skills she had attained, and shared with us her goal of being able to buy a home in the near future. She credits all of her newfound success and what the future holds to St. John’s Shelter.

Congrats to Production Framing, a BIA member  – First Place Trap Shoot Competition Winners. This is their second year running. We all look forward to challenging them again in 2014. Thanks to all who made this event a success! For more information on participating in this event contact Angela Tsukiji  at http://www.northstatebia.org/.
